Fleming, in a letter to US President-Elect Barack Obama,
extended sincere congratulations to him on his election as
the 44th president of the United States of
America.
The body of the letter read, "You have
been given a clear mandate by the people of America to go
forward and face the challenges of the 21st
century. You are taking office at a critical juncture in the
US and World economy and one which will require strong
leadership and the support of the American people and indeed
the world community. It is our prayer that God grants you
the courage and wisdom to lead so great a nation. Please
accept on behalf of the Government and people of Anguilla
and on my own behalf best wishes for the future, and all
prosperity and success to your administration". |
