The Allwyn Allison Primary School at West End, held its
annual science fair for grade 6 on Tuesday and Wednesday,
May 8 and 9.
The participating students displayed a wide variety of ideas
including:
- Electricity
- Mold growth and impact on food
- Organism Classification
- Detritus Formation and Benefit
- Flowers
- Capillary action and real life applications
Students were enamored with their work and eagerly
answered questions by those present including their peers
from Road School.

The overall winner of the fair was the team of
Noah Gumbs, Mackel Hughes, and
Jarval Woodley. Their project was entitled “Investigating
Parallel and Series Circuits”. |

Second place went to Micheal Curtis, Javard
Clarke, and Corrani Proctor who examined
Experimenting with Detritus. |

Third
place went to Valden Croft, Odeanna Rogers and
Shanice Richardson who examined “Factors that affect
the growth of mold on bread”. |
