The Islands of The Bahamas are playing host to  the 2008/9 Miss Universe, Venezuelan, Dayana Mendoza  and 84 beautiful ladies from the 58th annual Miss Universe Competition which airs live from Atlantis, Paradise Island on August 23 on NBC and Telemundo. 

The ladies, from throughout the world, have spent much of the month of August touring the Bahama Islands of Bimini, Exuma, Harbour Island, Grand Bahama and New Providence - where they are based. 

It will all culminate in the crowning of the 2009 Miss Universe at the  Imperial Ballroom at ATLANTIS, Paradise Island, Bahamas, LIVE on NBC Television network at 9 pm ET on Sunday, August 23, 2009.

Among the contestants are Caribbean Islanders including the seven shown below.
